Thomas Sowell, a conservative but hardly a partisan (he seems to disrespect politicians across the board), he, too, has skepticism regarding global warming. That's enough for me to at least want to learn more.
Yes. Note other posts of mine in regards to the AGW skeptics. Temperatures do appear to be rising slightly (tho' some climatologists have even doubted that, based on the large margins of error of temp data--and they are not all rightists): no solid evidence exists, however, showing that CO2 causes the temp. increases (it's the old "correlation is not causation" problem). It could be other greenhouse gasses, or even natural phenomena.
Counterpunch had an interesting debate, about a year ago on this. Cockburn, not my fave leftist muckraker but a powerful writer at times (When he keeps his marxism in check), provided some solid evidence and scientific testimony supporting the AGW skeptics.
Nitrous oxide and methane I've heard to be far more devastating than co2. Just to reinforce what you're saying.
